  • Windows 2008 Released, I don't care...

Seriously, I really don't. Probably the first time since Windows NT 3.51 Since I've said that. Sad really, but the only thing I would even consider caring about is IIS 7.0, and I'm so fed up with writing web applications, I don't even care about it either. I guess you could say I'm on the verge of developer burn out, tired of the daily drudgery of same'ol web apps, where truly I'd rather be writing awesome win forms software. Companies should stop rigging up the browsers to run as mini-OS and just work on a seamless, standardized method of communicating between rich client and server... oh wait...we have SOAP. SO why the hell are we still doing web apps? Users can't install applications so Click Once wont work? Are there other alternatives Microsoft? Comments that say Java will be deleted.
